FAQs

What are your hours of operation?

Pearce 4 Kids is open from 6:30am – 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. We are closed for 10 holidays throughout the year, as well as some school breaks for the Nursery School, Pre-K and School Age programs.

How long is the waiting list?

The waiting list varies for each age group. Once a child is placed on the waiting list they will be moved up to the next age group until a spot opens up or a family decides they no longer need care.

How do I add my child to the waiting list?

Our enrollment form is on our website. Once you submit that form, along with the non-refundable registration fee, your child will be added to the waiting list.

What are options for making payments?

We have several secure drop boxes throughout the building for payments by check or cash. Credit card payments can be taken in the office or by phone and will incur a small fee.

Do you allow breastmilk?

Yes. Families provide their own child’s formula, breastmilk, and other food items for their child’s first year, or until they decide to add food items from our menu. We are happy to work with families on their preference for milk supply and introducing solid food to your child’s diet.

Are you a nut free center?

No. At this time, we are not a fully nut-free center. We provide safe zones for children to eat where they are not sitting with others who are eating a known allergen. Children and staff wash their hands before and after each meal. Our staff are informed of all children’s known allergies and the plan for keeping them safe.

What is your health policy?

We are a well-child center. This means children who are healthy or have symptoms of mild childhood illness that does not represent a significant risk of serious infection to other children. Children who are ill will not be accepted into care and children who become ill during the day will be sent home, based on the full health care policy you will be given upon your start in our center.

What kind of curriculum do you use?

We believe that children learn best through play.  Our daily activities and lessons are designed to engage children in purposeful play that provides age appropriate cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development.  Our crafts focus on the process rather than a perfect final product.

Will my child be prepared for Kindergarten?

Yes!   Beginning in the infant years, all our developmental activities are designed to meet your child’s developmental milestones and prepare children to have a successful kindergarten experience once they’ve graduated from our program.
